Duncan Rintoul

Duncan has over 20 years' experience in research and evaluation consultancy. A mixed-methodologist, he holds a PhD from the University of Wollongong, a Master of Policy Studies from UNSW and a BSc in Applied Economic Geography, also from UNSW.  

 

Duncan has served on the board of the Australian Evaluation Society (2012-16) and is recognised by the AMSRS as a Qualified Practicing Researcher.  From 2015-19 he initiated and led a major evaluation capacity building project in the NSW Department of Education.

Vanessa Hood

Van has over 15 years' experience leading evidence-based practice in government agencies and NGOs. She holds a BSc (Botany and Biochemistry) from the University of Melbourne and a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. Prior to joining Rooftop Social, she was the Evaluation Lead at Sustainability Victoria. 

Van is an active member of the Australasian Facilitators Network and has a keen interest in participatory processes that help people engage with evidence in decision making.
